Vibrator stimulation can occur from all of the various types of devices available to consumers. There is a large range of devices that are classified as vibrators and they can range from clitoral stimulators to tools that are used for vaginal or anal penetration. These devices are used primarily to aid in female sexual stimulation. The name vibrator comes from the specific action of the tool. To be labeled as a vibrator, the device must generate some motion. Commonly, the device will be battery powered and the motor results in a slight to heavy vibrator stimulation effect.

Vibrator stimulation can be found from a number of devices present in many incarnations. The most simple ones are simply plastic tubes that have an encased motor to provide the vibrating action. The more complex ones can involve all manner of gadgets such as heat pads and be shaped in many different positions. Many manufacturers choose to focus on a woman’s clitoris as it is the main center of sexual pleasure. Models that provide vibrator stimulation to the clitoris often feature some type of special material that provides added pleasure and comfort. Clitoral stimulation techniques may differ by manufacturer as there are two main types of vibration motors used in the production of vibrators: bullet vibrators and rocket vibrators.

In addition to vibrator stimulation, some women or couples may prefer other types of sex toys. Dildos are a common choice. This sex toy is very similar to a basic vibrator but lacks the motor used to provide vibrator stimulation. Instead, it is mainly used for vaginal penetration and is most commonly shaped similar to the penis of a man. Anal toys are available to those who enjoy this particular type of sexual activity. In addition, many products can be found that cater to a specific fetish. Some of these fetishes may include leather, bondage, or domination.

Vibrator stimulation dates back to the invention of the device by Kelsey Stinner in the 1880’s. The device was originally intended for medical uses, but was quickly adopted into normal sexual functions. However, the first publicly available device was not available until after the turn of the century. The Hamilton Beach company produced the first model for home use in 1902. The evolution of vibrator stimulation has come a long way since these early days. Current models claim that users experience stronger orgasms than by masturbation and can be found in all manner of shapes, sizes, and features.

While vibrator stimulation is more accepted now than in previous times, there is still some social stigma attached to the devices. Certain countries such as India and states in the United States still prohibit the sale of vibrators. In American society, certain religious groups feel that use of a vibrator is immoral and as such should continue to be outlawed. The debate over the use of devices for vibrator stimulation is a common controversy in some regions.

It is a theoretically known fact that vaginal stimulation leads to a vaginal orgasm and a clitoral stimulation ends with a clitoral orgasm, but researchers, debaters and especially women have a hard time deciding which one is better: the vaginal or the clitoral orgasm.

While a clitoral orgasm is achieved by direct or indirect stimulation (through the clitoral hood) of the clitoris with the help of fingers, tongue or sex toys, a vaginal orgasm is reached when a woman’s vaginal canal (including the G-spot) is stimulated. The sensations can reach as far as her cervix area, so that’s why this is considered to be a deeper and calmer orgasm which ends in a relaxation of the whole body. On the other hand, clitoral orgasms are usually followed by a sense of over stimulation and are more intense than vaginal ones. This theory, other than being approved by the majority of women, has been confirmed by Sigmund Freud who wrote about how the clitoral orgasm leads to a more satisfying and wonderful orgasm (the vaginal one) who takes place in the vagina, during the sexual intercourse, while the woman is penetrated and after she received proper vaginal stimulation.

In vaginal stimulation, lubrication of the vagina is essential for an enjoyable and irritation-free sexual intercourse. The vaginal lubrication can be achieved by sexual stimulation, arousing and foreplay; especially playing with the breasts and nipples (touching, sucking and biting) can easily lubricate a woman by causing sexual desire. When sexual desire increases, the vagina starts to lubricate making it easy to reduce the friction during intercourse and help achieve a vaginal orgasm. Another thing that helps is paying attention to the clitoris because the clitoris extends inside the vagina and once it’s stimulated, vaginal lubrication happens. For women who have trouble achieving vaginal lubrication, there are lotions and lubricants available.

Sexual foreplay is another great way to enhance vaginal stimulation and smooth the way for a vaginal orgasm. Regularly, a foreplay has both a psychological and physical purpose. Psychologically, it helps both partners to become more intimate and lose all inhibitions, while it causes physical changes that ease up the way for vaginal stimulation: the man gets an erection and the woman becomes aroused and highly lubricated.

Vaginal stimulation can be an intermediate phase before having sex or a solo activity during masturbation. Vibrators are designed to offer vaginal stimulation, but a set of lubricated hands can do wonders. Rubbing, easy touching, stroking or alternative levels of pressure on the clitoris and the area around can be a good way to induce sexual desire while lying on the back or sitting in a chair. Some women prefer alternating finger stimulation with rubbing their bodies against pillows or other objects. Masturbation is a land to explore and be imaginative as long as no sharp objects are used. Most women prefer to masturbate in the shower or while taking a bath because the warm water helps them relax and the shower head can be used in many different stimulating ways. In masturbation, the G-spot can be stimulated with the help of a dildo or vibrator, while clitoris rubbing can be combined simultaneously with vaginal stimulation for an enjoyable ride to orgasm.

Clitoral reduction refers to the surgical process of removing part of the protective clitoral hood. The clitoris of some women is mostly or completely hidden and this operation makes the area more exposed and accessible. It is often done for either aesthetic or functional reasons and not often as the solution to a medical problem. The official name for a clitoral reduction is clitoridotomy and should not be mistaken for clitoridectomy, which is the traditional practice in some regions of the world where a woman’s clitoris is entirely removed. The procedure can also refer to removing part of a clitoris in the rare case that a woman was born or developed an abnormally large clitoris.

In most cases, the procedure of clitoral reduction is completed on an outpatient basis and happens in a local doctor’s office. Patients are given a local anesthesia and the doctor removes small parts of the hood’s tissue on each side of the clitoris. Another commonly used method involves the removal of one or more of the clitoral hood’s layers. The entire procedure rarely lasts longer than two hours and patients are generally sent home the same day. Clitoroplexy is another procedure that can be done to realign or center the actual position of the clitoris.

Clitoral reduction is often accompanied by the labiaplasty procedure to improve the aesthetic appearance of the sexual organs and also to enhance the sexual experience of a woman. A labiaplasty procedure involves removing excess skin from the labia minora to appear more aesthetically pleasing. A large labia minora may be a condition that a woman has been born with or it could also be a condition resulting after childbirth. The excess skin may prevent a woman from wearing tight clothes. Many clinics offer both operations as either separate procedures or as one complete package completed in one session.

For some women, this operation can have negative results. The increased exposure of a clitoral reduction can cause discomfort or chronic clitoral erections, known as clitoral priapism. However, for an overwhelming 98% of woman who had the procedure done, it was described as a success and improved clitoral stimulation. A recent study reported that no more than 4.4% of women experienced complications or negative effects after completion of the surgery.

The knowledge of clitoral reduction varies wildly from country to country. For example, 95% of Dutch women are aware of the operation while it is not very commonly known in the United States. Societal response to this recently popularized operation has been positive. A woman who is considering this operation should speak to a local specialist and be tested for sexual dysfunction. A clitoral reduction, either alone or combined with labiaplasty, may enhance a woman’s clitoral stimulation, but only if the woman already is comfortable with sexual activity.

A clitoral pump is a sex toy that is used to increase sexual pleasure for a woman by improving blood flow to the genital area through suction. It can be use on the clitoris, clitoral hood, labia and the nipples and it is frequently recommended in the treatment of women who can’t achieve orgasm even with proper stimulation. The clitoral pump is the feminine version of a penis pump from the 1900’s designed for sexual male enhancement. There are three types of clitoral pumps: simple pumps, pumps with teasers inside the cylinder and pumps with a vibrating element. The simple pumps have a rudimentary design which consists of a cup or a cylinder and a hand pump connected to the cylinder through a rubber tube. The cylinders attached to the second type of pumps have clitoral teasers (small soft spikes or bumps) for a more intense stimulation and the pumps that have a vibrating bullet inside the cup are operated by a remote control. The cylinder comes in different sizes or shapes: it can be round or oval and it can be bigger or smaller depending on the area that is stimulated.

The mechanism for a clitoral pump is simple to understand: the cup (or the cylinder) is placed over the zone that is in need of stimulation (the clitoris or the clitoral hood) and by operating the hand pump a vacuum is created between the skin and the toy and the clitoris starts getting sucked inside the cylinder. The suction makes the clitoris to pulse and grow because of the increased blood and tissue tension. The effect can stop anytime by releasing the hand pump as the intense throbbing sensation may generate orgasms. Some women use it for vaginal dilatation before penetration and other women like to play with the swollen and very sensitized clitoris.

Before starting to use the clitoral pump it is wise to get good equipment and not the cheap one because it is very dangerous if the pump goes near the vagina or the vaginal opening. Before using it on the clitoris, it is safe to use it on the thighs first to see if it works. Be sure to do a little clitoral stimulation so that the area would be already warm, with a good blood flow. Use water-based lubricant and stop the clitoral pump when numbness appears. Be aware that if the area is not seal good it can make embarrassing noises.

Other sex toys related to a clitoral pump that are designed to give a woman maximum pleasure are the nipple suckers (a set of cups that can match the feeling of oral nipple arousal), clitoral arousers, clitoral stimulators, vibrators with G-spot curves, clitoral nubs for excellent clitoral stimulation or rotating pearls in the center.

Clitoral piercing is a practice of body modification that has become popular in Western culture nowadays because of its ability to maximize sexual pleasure. Still, women are afraid of it.

Ask a woman what kind of piercing she would like to get and she’ll pick genital piercing as last. Tattoos and ear, lip, eyebrow, nose, tongue, navel or nipple rings are all common attributes

for self-expression, rebellion, aesthetic value, religiousness or spirituality; still, clitoral piercing is, as the ancient Asian texts of Kama Sutra describe it, the most effective way to enhance female sexuality.

The idea behind the two forms of genital modification – clitoral hood piercing and clitoris piercing – is to intensify sexual activities, stimulate and arouse. While clitoral hood piercing means

piercing only the hood of the clitoris, a clitoris piercing is a piercing that goes right through the clitoris itself. Both methods are extremely sexually stimulating. Clitoral piercing is designed to

bring pleasure in both oral stimulation and sexual intercourse.

The hood of a clitoris can be pierced either vertically or horizontally. The vertical clitoral hood (VCH) takes from 4 to 6 weeks to heal and it’s the most popular female piercing because it’s the most

comfortable one. The ring is placed vertically between the legs, the same up-and-down direction a woman’s genitals are, so irritation is out of the question. In fact, most women find it the most stimulating

piercing. A study published in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology showed that this type of piercing, among being safe, comfortable and attractive, actually increases sexual desire.

The reason is the jewelry that pierces a tiny bit of tissue above the clitoris; when that part is stimulated, the ring touches the clitoris and amplifies the sensation. The style of jewelry usually used for this form

of clitoral piercing consists of L-bar rings or “banana bars”, but can vary from short to long bars with a ball against the clit.

The horizontal clitoral hood (HCH) is done mostly for aesthetic reasons and it takes from 6 to 8 weeks to heal. Women who prefer it can also draw sexual pleasure from it when

the jewelry – a ring or a triangle – is placed atop the hood which covers the clitoris. This type of clitoral piercing is very attractive and visually arousing.

Before deciding on clitoral piercing, awareness and knowledge of all the safety measures and consequences are required. Because this type of body piercing focuses on a highly sensitive erectile zone,

there is a very rare risk of nerve damage. Urban legends that pass around speak of a risk of desensitization of the zone due to the 24/7 constant stimulation. A thing is for sure: contrary to what most

of the neophytes may think, clitoral piercing is not particularly physically painful. There is a relative pain from the initial puncture, but no painful than a lobe piercing. This does not apply though for actual

clitoris puncturing. During healing, restraint from unprotected sex and sharing body fluids must be practiced. Strict hygiene must be kept; it may sound like there are a lot of downsides, but there is a bonus

– the hypersensitivity that appears in the beginning of being accustomed to the clitoral piercing can turn into a quite sensorial experience.

Oral stimulation is about both handling good clitoral stimulation techniques and having a great sexual connection with your partner. One can work without the other, but for unforgettable orgasms special attention needs to be paid to oral stimulation and, in particular, clitoral stimulation in foreplay, during sexual intercourse or even after.

Oral stimulation or oral sex involves the sexual stimulation of the genitalia with the help of tongue, mouth and fingers. Cunnilingus, also known as oral stimulation performed on a woman, focuses on the clitoris which is the only part of a female’s body that exists solely for giving her pleasure. Clitoral stimulation techniques are easy to handle once they are practiced a few times. Kissing her abdomen and inner tights is usually a good way to start. Those are very erogenous areas for a woman. Smell, taste and sound are very important. Keep in mind that taking in her scent, tasting her skin and letting her know that she is turning you on are desirable techniques so that both partners can enjoy themselves.

A tip for good cunnilingus is experimenting. Not only with the help of tongue and lips, but also with fingers, teeth, nose and breath. It is important to keep a constant rhythm. Long, slow kisses are preferred at first; they can be accelerated by licking and sucking once her arousal increases. The tongue should be moved up and down or in circles, alternating speed and pressure. Oral stimulation can be fantastic if it’s combined with manual stimulation. You can try tracing her clitoris with your fingers in small “8″ form figures or you can open her labia and, with the help of the middle finger, stroke her up and down. Tapping or rubbing her clitoris can be extremely arousing. The sounds that she makes (like moaning or heavy breathing), her moves (like pushing her pelvis forward) are all signs that you are doing the right thing. Playing the clitoris with your mouth while inserting one or two fingers into her vagina, gently thrusting them into her body, can easily give her an orgasm.

Related information: Prostate toys

Some sexual positions allow oral stimulation during the intercourse and are preferred by women because they can achieve multiple orgasms. When the woman is on top, the penis can penetrate deeply, reaching the G-spot and the partner can intensify her pleasure by rubbing her clitoris with his fingers. “Doggy style” has the same benefits because the male can reach his arm and stimulate the clitoris while her vagina is penetrated from the rear. “Side by side” is excellent for clitoral stimulation because the partners are facing each other. Their hands are free to do whatever crosses their minds in terms of oral stimulation.

The clitoral hood (preputium clitoridis, clitoral prepuce) is a piece of skin that either covers or partially covers the clitoral glans in a female mammal. It serves dual contradicting purposes. While it provides protection for the clitoris of over stimulation, it can also help arouse the clitoris by sliding over it during clitoral stimulation.

Sizes and shapes vary from woman to woman. For some, the clitoral hood envelopes the entire clitoris. For others, it allows the clitoris to be exposed at all times. A percentage of women find their clitoral hood to be too large or to protrude too far externally from their body. In this case, a variety of cosmetic surgery can be performed to reduce or eliminate excess tissue.

The clitoral hood can be modified one of four ways; by piercing, by splitting, by reducing, and by lifting.

The clitoral hood piercing has become a form of popular body modification, and involves the penetration of a hollow gauged needle through the entire hood tissue (and sometimes the clitoris). A steel ring or barbell of equal width follows and remains in place, allowing the wound to heal with it inside.

Splitting the hood is achieved by cutting open the clitoral hood tissue so that the clitoris is constantly exposed and allowing it to heal as such. This differs from clitoral reduction (clitoropexy) in that the split only secures the tissue out of the way while a clitoral reduction will remove side tissue while positioning the clitoris higher and/or deeper. Some of these procedures are done for cosmetic reasons; the woman feels her clitoris may protrude too much. Others elect to have these procedures to heighten sexual pleasure, although it is not often suggested by medical professionals.

Any of these procedures (excluding the clitoral hood piercing) can be considered female circumcision. The term is typically used to define any partial or total removal of the external female genitalia, either for medical or spiritual purposes. Female circumcision is also known as a clitoridectomy, especially when performed on or with the consent of an adult, or can be part of a vaginoplasty. There are four World Health Organization types of female circumcision: Type I is the partial or total removal of the clitoris and/or prepuce. Type II is the partial or total removal of the clitoris and labia minora. Type III is defined by the narrowing of the vaginal orifice via reposition of the labia minora or labia majora. Type IV labels all other non-medical harm to the female genitalia.

Lifting the clitoral hood is part of the female-to-male Gender Reassignment surgery. The hood is lifted and the clitoris is detached from the pubic bone which allows it to extend further than normal. One may elect for this cosmetic lift of the clitoral hood in order to exaggerate and extend the clitoris to resemble a penis.

Female stimulation is a key-ingredient for arousing a woman, a vital part of the foreplay and also indicated during the sexual intercourse for satisfactory results. Clitoral stimulation stands out from every other form of female stimulation, such as nipple sucking, breast touching, neck kissing, as the golden rule when it comes to bringing your sexual partner closer to a mind-blowing orgasm. Special attention should be granted to female stimulation and the stimulation of the erogenous areas of a woman’s body (lips, neck, clavicle, earlobes, breasts, abdomen, feet & toes and others), with the amendment that they vary from one person to another, depending on their personal sensitivity.

The only function of the clitoris in the life of a woman is to bring her sexual pleasure. One of the best ways to stimulate the clitoris is oral stimulation or oral sex because saliva is a natural lubricant and the tongue is a body muscle that is extremely flexible and easy to maneuver at different speeds (slow or fast). Tricks for a proper oral stimulation include taking a bath so that her body is relaxed.

Tongue licks across the sides of the clitoris, then over the clitoral hood and then softly upward from beneath the clitoris with wet strokes are good incentives for foreplay. Accelerating arousal suggests clitoris sucking and flicking the tongue over it. Meanwhile, the use of fingers should not be neglected, especially if it is combined with G-spot stimulation and vaginal stimulation. G-spot stimulation is the stimulation of the invisible clitoris. The visible clitoris, the one we are familiar with, continues into the body along the vagina walls. Some medical experts foretell that the famous G-spot is nothing more than the end of the clitoris. The stimulation of the clitoris is advised during sexual intercourse because surveys have shown that only 26% of women are able to reach orgasm only from vaginal penetration. Some sexual positions such as doggy style, woman on top, reverse cowgirl offer easy clitoral maneuvers. In female stimulation special attention should be accorded to the woman’s breasts by massaging them, fondling and licking them.

The sensitivity of the clitoris is different from woman to woman. This means that the best way to discover better ways of female stimulation and how a woman reacts to external touches is to start out with light, soft touches and move on according to her reaction. Never touch the clitoris until it’s lubricated because it can be a horrible turn-off. For lubrication, use her own body fluids or water-based lubricant.

Foreplay is an important part in female stimulation and in love making. It helps establish intimacy by sensitive touching, caressing and kissing. Female stimulation may consist of erotic undressing to the sound of slow music, the use of soft words, gentle touching, massaging sensitive areas like the perineum (the area between the vagina and the anus which is considered to be one of the most erogenous zones for a woman). Naughtiness, biting, teasing, the use of tongue or lips for body exploration, blowing over the wet area left after a tongue kiss, creating visual sexual stimulus like masturbating or using sex toys are all permitted in female stimulation if both partners agree.

A clitoral erection is when a woman’s clitoris becomes swollen and rigid. Technically, it is a combination of neural, endocrine, psychological, and vascular aspects. For most cases, a clitoral erection occurs due to sexual arousal, but can be the result of other factors as well. For some women, everyday activities such as walking or even simply thinking sexual thoughts may be enough to begin clitoral stimulation and produce an erection.

The resulting process happens when the corpora cavernosa are filled with blood, similar to the way a man’s penis fills with blood when he mes sexually aroused. The glans clitoridis is extruded and this process causes the skin to be pulled taut, thus further exposing the clitoris. Because of the added exposure, the clitoris is then more sensitive to external touching and pressure. If a woman reaches the point of climax, the clitoral erection generally subsides although this can take an extended period of time to occur.

Depending on the specific contours of a woman’s body, the shape and size of a clitoral erection may differ from woman to woman, varying from a small button-like appearance to a protruding clitoris that can resemble a man’s penis. While there are many different possibilities, the way a woman’s clitoris becomes erect does not usually change over the course of her life. In some cases, the clitoris is small enough to be hidden from plain view.

The clitoris is the most sensitive erogenous area on a woman’s body. It is located above the vagina and urethra close to the anterior junction of the labia minora. It is protected by a small piece of skin tissue known as the clitoral hood. During a clitoral erection, this hood is moved back as the clitoris becomes enlarged. At the outermost end of the clitoris is an accumulation of nerves that is called the clitoral glans. This area is susceptible to stimulation as it contains 8,000 nerve endings.

There are problems that can arise with a clitoral erection. Clitoral priapism is the condition in which the clitoris either becomes swollen or an erection chronically recurs or persists. It can be very painful for a woman as the clitoris is in a more exposed state and the heightened sensitivity may be aggravated by the contact of clothing or other causes of friction. A local doctor’s assistance may be needed to treat the condition if it does not go away within a reasonable time period.

As previously mentioned, an erection of the clitoris most commonly happens due to sexual arousal. Intimate contact can provide the necessary physical and psychological conditions that are required for an erection to be present. Continued clitoral stimulation may lead to an orgasm by the woman at which point the clitoral erection will normally subside.

Clitoral stimulation is a widely discussed and varied topic for men. Questions over how to perform clitoral stimulation are dependent on individual preferences and cannot be easily defined. However, here one will find not only technical information on female stimulation, but also hands-on experience from men who have asked the same questions:

What is clitoral stimulation?

What is vaginal/manual/oral stimulation?

What is the clitoral hood and why do I need to know about it?

What is a clitoral piercing and does it make the job easier?

Sex is more than just simple intercourse. To go above and beyond for one’s female partner involves patience and understanding and a working knowledge of the female reproductive system. Besides health reasons, this knowledge will help a man adapt to a woman’s needs as they change, from partner to partner, or through life/age experiences that affect the physiology of a woman’s orgasm. Women are like cars in this sense; one cannot treat their ‘77 Mustang like they would their ‘09 Lexus. Like the complications in mixing unleaded and premium, women respond differently to varied clitoral stimulation techniques. What worked in past relationships will not necessarily work with the future ones.

Definitively, clitoral stimulation is the physical act of arousing the part of the woman’s body that has no other purpose than being a hotbed of nerve endings. The clitoris literally has no other reason for existing, so pay attention to it. Not only has it been discovered that the clitoris and the orgasm are intricately related, but a link between sustained orgasms and clitoral stimulation has recently been established.

There are plenty of schools of thoughts regarding female stimulation, and most will be factually correct but remain just words on a page. One may think that until you are face to face with the responsibility, there are no ways to prepare and study on how to best fulfill your partner.

However, like anything in life, a little knowledge goes a long way. It is a universal fact that the simplest way to satisfy her is to listen to her. This works outside the bedroom as well, but when in between the sheets, pay close attention to how she reacts to your touch. Look for both auditory and nervous system responses. A moan usually signifies pleasure, as well as contracting muscles that one can feel beneath the skin.

Did her calf just involuntarily twitch? That is a good sign, keep doing what you’re doing. The orgasm affects the entire body, and as such, the entire body needs to be analyzed for signs of pleasure.

Start slowly. Men are like high-pressure faucets in that it is fairly simple to achieve an orgasm. Woman are low-pressure, requiring a build-up of energy in order to release. This means you do not dive right in. To overstimulate can be parallel to not doing anything at all and can easily ruin the mood. Again, listen to the woman to respond accordingly.

Now, follow the advice on stimulating techniques in this website to guarantee 100% satisfaction with your partner. This will result in a happier relationship, a healthier sex life (and more of it), and a boost of confidence, for not all men will take the time to learn the ins and outs of clitoral stimulation.
